As the strike action enters its 142nd day, certain issues continue to perverse the outlook of tertiary institutions.
The issue of the quality of students in terms academic performance is one issue that has not been given keen attention.
Yet, it is one that will have the worse effect on the outlook of public tertiary institutions.
As highlighted by one final year student in FUO, "after this strike action, lots of students would drop drastically in terms of academic performance."

He said the decline will be as a result of the psychological damages that the strike action exposes students to.
Certain professional programmes especially medical and health related programmes will be forced to graduate students who will be half-baked.
The both parties are urged to look into this issue and resolve the issues and call off the strike as soon as possible. This is in a bid to save the face of the public tertiary institutions.
